Child Protection and Safeguarding for Designated Liaison Persons (DLPs) and Deputy Designated Liaison Persons (DDLPs)

The aim of this 2 hour workshop is to support DLPs and DDLPs in navigating the Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools (revised 2023). We will explore the responsibilities of the role and give guidance on best practice in carrying out this role.

Nuala Dalton is a Primary School Teacher and has been working with the Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) and Oide for 7 years as an Advisor to schools for the Health and Wellbeing Team. As part of her role she has worked extensively in the area of Child Safeguarding in schools.
