Supporting Speech and Language Development: A Series of 3 Sessions: September 15th/22nd/29th @ 4.30p.m. 

A series of three webinars for primary school teachers to support speech and language development in their educational context for a variety of needs (including multilingual, neurotypical and neurodiverse development). Each webinar in the series is linked and knowledge and strategies will be shared and discussed.  We aim to have interactive discussions.

To consider how a child’s environment and individual profile can impact on understanding of language.

To understand expressive language development in children

To consider how a child’s environment and individual profile can impact on their expressive language abilities.

To learn strategies to support expressive language development in children in your school setting. 

 

Facilitator

Dr Clare Carroll, CORU SL020076

Clare Carroll, PhD, is a registered speech and language therapist and a lecturer at National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland.  Clare has a wealth of clinical experience from working in the Irish Health Service and in private practice. She is passionate about collaborative working with children, parents, teachers and health and social care professionals. She is interested in learning more about how interventions can be informed by the people who need them, in particular, understanding what is important to people with communication difficulties.
