In this session participants will explore the strategies that can be incorporated into classroom practice to develop children’s exposure to the genres and the use of modelled and guided writing to develop competence in writing.

Learning Outcomes-

Participants will develop their understanding of the unique and generic features of each genre.

Participants will engage in modelled instruction of a picture book in the teaching of persuasive writing.
